We are thrilled to announce that our alumni, Gordon Allan, has secured the national championship title in the 1000m time trial at the 2025 AusCycling Track National Championships, held at Brisbane’s Anna Meares Velodrome from March 22 to 30.
Gordon’s journey in para-cycling has been marked by significant achievements. After being encouraged to take up cycling in 2011, he joined Parramatta Cycling Club and began training with the Western Sydney Academy of Sport. His dedication led him to claim his first national championships in 2016 by winning the para-cycling road time trial and road race in Adelaide. Notably, Gordon has excelled on the velodrome over shorter distances, setting a new world record in the C2 Flying 200m time trial twice in one week during the 2022 AusCycling Track National Championships and the 2022 Oceania Track Cycling Championships.
Gordon’s recent victory in Brisbane adds to his impressive list of accomplishments, including representing Australia at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympics.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Gordon Allan for his outstanding performance and for continuing to inspire our community with his dedication and excellence in para-cycling.
