Ashleigh Hill The Karate Kid
Ashleigh Hill is a young lady hailing from Hawkesbury and one of the newest members of the Heartland Motors Lone Star Program. Ashleigh has been participating in Karate since the age of 5 and has recently been achieving some unbelievable results.
Ashleigh recently won gold at the NSW State Age Championships, gold at the NSW Open Championships, gold at the Australasian School Age Championships and two bronze in the Australian Open. The black belt karate competitor hopes to represent Australia at the Youth Olympics in Argentina in August 2018.
Ashleigh has worked tirelessly to be a black belt and national gold medalist at the ripe age of 15. When we asked Ashleigh what inspires her she talked about Kristina Mah, Australian karate competitor for “how hard she trains and for how far she taken her journey in the sport of karate”.
Ashleigh draws takes influence from her dad and her coach. “My dad had a goal for me to start karate and one day achieve my black belt and my coach Shihan Daniel Spice believed in me and pushed me to achieve things which I didn’t think were possible”.
