2016 ClubsNSW Academy Games Wrap
The weekend of 8th-10th April saw the Academy’s Hockey, Netball, Golf and Triathlon squads compete in the 2016 ClubsNSW Academy Games. This year the Games were hosted once again by the Central Coast Academy of Sport who did a great job at welcoming all of the Academies from across NSW, and organising such a large scale event. The weekend was a great showcase of sporting talent and in particular our Western Sydney athletes.
The tournament style weekend was a great development experience for our athletes and a perfect opportunity for our squads to display their talent, integrity and spirit.
Our golfers competed in a 36 hole event over Saturday & Sunday. Day 1 was spent at Peats Ridge Golf Club where our athletes started the weekend strongly.
Competition on Day 2 was conducted at Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club. Our athletes were successful in winning the team event. Our winning team was Bradley Doherty, Mark Hancock, Jack Walden and Madelyn Haggerty.
Our boys did particularly well with individual results as follows:
1st: Bradley Doherty
