Gadd Shows Age Is Just A Number
On Monday, 7 November, Academy golfer Joshua Gadd qualified for the NSW Open Championship 2016 which was held at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club over the 10-13 November 2016. There were only two positions available from Glenmore Heritage Valley Golf Club to qualify for the event as it is holding the highest number of professional golfers in 65 years. To qualify, Josh shot a four-under par 68 with two other professional golfers, which went into a play off, Josh was the first to qualify. This left the two professionals to fight for the second spot.
Josh only returned from playing in the Federal Amateur, held in Canberra, late the night before qualifying for the Open. He finished that tournament as Junior Runner-Up and in the top 25, a great achievement.
Josh was the youngest competitor at the NSW Open and finished T33 from 100+ competitors.
