Heartland Motors To Support Academy Lone Stars

Western Sydney Academy of Sport is excited to announce Heartland Motors as the new Lone Star Athlete Development Program Partner.

The Academy’s Lone Star program has been established to provide holistic development opportunities for young athletes involved in sports that are not currently supported by Academy programs. The Lone Star program will provide scholarships for up to six outstanding young male and female athletes – and focus on educational and personal development for these stars of tomorrow.

Academy CEO Martin Bullock commented that “Heartland Motors is recognised as the premier motor vehicle dealership in the western Sydney region, and a tremendous supporter of local communities. Heartland Motors will provide critical financial support for the program and enable support to be given to some of the region’s best young athletes.”

Athletes residing within the Academy’s western Sydney catchment aged between 13 and 18 will be eligible to nominate, and the Academy looks forward to receiving inquiries from young sports achievers across a range of non-traditional sports.

Heartland Holden’s Marketing & Community Relations Manager Di Bowden said that “Heartland Motors is proud to be sponsoring the Lone Star Program for 2017 and promoting the success of our local athletes. This sponsorship deal demonstrates Heartland Motors commitment to supporting sport in the great western Sydney region and we believe this will have a positive impact on the talented athletes in the region and our community as a whole”.
