Partners

The Academy has forged strong relationships with a variety of key stakeholders and supporting organisations from within the public and private sectors, all of whom contribute significantly to the well being of the Academy and ultimately our talented young athletes.

To assist in recognising these Partners, the Academy has categorised them as follows :

Principal Partner

Communities NSW (Sport & Recreation Division)

The NSW Government provides strong financial and in-kind support to all Regional Academies and maintains a beneficial working relationship with the Academy in areas such as policy and governance.

Council Partners

Each Council provides grant funds to the Academy on an annual basis, and is represented on the Academy’s Council Advisory Forum which provides information and advice to the Academy Board. Three Council representatives are elected from the Advisory Forum to become Academy Board Directors on an annual basis.

Merrylands Bowling Club

One of two Lawn Bowls Program Partners who have committed to the Academy’s newest high performance program, providing financial and venue support for the exciting program which commenced in 2010. The Merrylands Club’s Bowls Coordinator also acts as the Academy’s Head Coach for the Program.

Mount Lewis Bowling Club

Also a Lawn Bowls Program Partner, the Mount Lewis Club provides financial and in-kind support for the Bowls Program through access to the Club’s high standard greens.

NSWRL Western Sydney Academy

The NSW Rugby League - through their Western Sydney Academy office based at Penrith Stadium (adjacent to the WSAS office) - provides key strategic and financial support to the Rugby League Program.

Jack Newton Junior Golf

The Jack Newton Junior Golf Foundation, as the junior development arm of Golf NSW, partners the Academy in the development and implementation of its Golf Program. JNJG provides technical content, coaching resources and competition assistance for the Academy Program.

Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club

This prestigious Golf Club has announced its support for the Academy’s Golf Program in 2011. Twin Creeks provides support for the program through access to the course and club facilities for Academy athletes. The Academy welcomes back the highly respected Golf Professional Bruce Burrows as Program Head Coach.

St Marys Rugby League Club

The respected St Marys Rugby League Club has been the Rugby League Program Partner for a two year period, providing financial and venue support for the Academy’s junior representative squads, who play competition matches at the quality St Marys Leagues Stadium.

Penrith Whitewater Stadium

The highest standard facility in the Southern Hemisphere, the Whitewater Stadium is the home for the Academy’s Slalom Canoe/Kayak Program, with athletes receiving on-water access and other facilities at the venue. Coaching resources are provided by the AIS/NCE structure which operates at the Stadium.

St Dominic's College

The highly regarded St Dominic’s College, Kingswood, is one of the Academy’s Rugby League Program Partners, with the College grounds, gymnasium and class rooms providing a comprehensive training base for the Academy’s squads

The Panthers Entertainment Group

The Academy is extremely fortunate to be able to occupy fully serviced and professionally presented premises at the Penrith CUA Stadium thanks to the support of the Stadium landlord, the Panthers Group, Penrith City Council and the NSW Government.

Sydney Gateway Holiday Park

Taggart Group

The Taggart Group provides significant fundraising assistance to the Academy through coordination of an annual fundraising dinner which benefits Academy athletes.

2XU is an internationally recognised premium compression and performance sports apparel brand and the Academy’s Official High Performance Partner.  2XU provides benefits to the Academy and athletes including access to thier range of high quality compression and performance sports apparel at privileged pricing.

ACEIT Sportswear

ACEIT is the Academy’s Official Clothing Partner and manufactures all high performance uniforms for on and off field activities by the Academy athletes.

Provide an essential and professional service to young sports people participating in contact sports. Mobile Mouthguards can come to you for fittings and deliver direct to local sporting Clubs and teams.

Elastoplast

Elastoplast is the Academy’s Official sports injury strapping supplier servicing our rugby league program.

Castle Hill RSL Club

Castle HIll RSL is an Academy Events Partner and provides resources and experitse in marketing and events management for the Academy.

Paul Wakeling Motors

Paul Wakeling Motors is one of western Sydney’s largest and most professional motor vehicle dealerships, and provides assistance with the Academy’s motor vehicle maintenance.

Woolworths Limited

Woolworths Limited is demonstrating its strong commitment to the young athletes of the western Sydney region through initiating the annual Woolworths Scholarship which will be awarded to the outstanding male and female athletes of the Academy as a cash grant  to assist with sport participation costs and educational costs.
