The Regional Academies of Sport celebrated a night of excellence and inspiration at its Annual Awards Night, featuring an exclusive guest appearance from one of its most distinguished alumni from the Western Sydney Academy of Sport – Olympic Bronze Medalist Gordon Allan OAM. The event brought together all eleven academies from across the state to recognise excellence in sport and celebrate the achievements of athletes.
In a special highlight of the evening, Gordon Allan participated in an engaging Q&A session with our Master of Ceremonies, Sarah Ryan, OAM. Sharing personal experiences from his journey to the Olympic podium, he reflected on the dedication, resilience, and perseverance required to compete at the highest level. His inspiring words resonated with young athletes, coaches, and parents alike, reinforcing the academy’s commitment to developing future champions.
