The Academy’s Tenpin Bowling Program provides quality athlete development opportunities for talented young athletes in the western Sydney region. In partnership with Tenpin Bowling Australia and Tenpin Bowling NSW, the program provides development opportunities for athletes in the areas of technical skill, education and personal development, preparing athletes for the next level of elite sport representation.

The Academy Program includes specific skill components, testing and reporting procedures set by Tenpin Bowling Australia. These program elements allow athletes to further progress along the Tenpin Bowling development pathway.

Venue: Windsor Tenpin Bowl

Duration: February – July

The Program will comprise of technical development opportunities, athlete education, sports science and fitness elements for Academy scholarship holders. The Program aims to prepare athletes for progression to higher levels of individual performance and achievement..

To be eligible to nominate for a scholarship within the Academy’s Tenpin Bowling Program, athletes must be: 

  • Aged between 12-21 years during the program year;
  • A registered member of a Tenpin Bowling Australia affiliated bowling centre;
  • Committed to progressing to higher levels of representation within the sport of Tenpin Bowling;
  • Currently residing within the Local Government Areas of Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Parramatta, Penrith or The Hills.


An athlete levy is applicable to all athletes selected into the program – details of this will be advised at the time of selection.

In addition to regular scheduled training sessions, the following benefits will apply to athletes selected within the WSAS Tenpin Bowling Program:
