Ashleigh Hill Crowned National Champion

Earlier this month, Heartland Motors Lone Star athlete Ashleigh Hill represented New South Wales at the Australian Karate Federation’s National Championships held in Sydney.

This event has the highest ranked athletes in Australia competing for the National Champion title.

Ashleigh had five fights in total, scoring 26 points against her competitors, and conceded only 6 against her. With 19 girls competing in the Cadets Female Kumite division this was a fantastic achievement. Ashleigh’s score proved to be the best on ground and she walked away with a gold medal and was named the Australian National Karate Champion for her age.

Ashleigh was also selected for the Team Kumite event where they placed 3rd.

In the last seven years of competing Ashleigh has gained four Gold medals and two Silver medals on her National Championship campaigns.
