Seven talented Canoe Slalom athletes travelled to Grafton to attend the NSW All Schools Canoeing Championships on 25 – 29 May and came home with admirable results.

Miranda Pulkkinen was awarded Gold for both the 16WC1 and 16WK1 Slalom events and was named the overall Female State Champion. Miranda came home with an impressive six Gold medals from the Championships!

Dominic Curtin and Lucas Parkinson took out Gold and Silver respectively for the 14MC1 Slalom event. Dominic was also awarded second place for the overall Male State Champion with a total of eight Gold medals.

Our athletes did an outstanding job in the 14MK1 Slalom event taking out Gold, Silver and Bronze. Dominic Curtin won Gold, Oscar Gray Silver and Lucas Parkinson Bronze.

In the 16MC1 Slalom event, Silver was awarded to Myles Ford who was also awarded Bronze in the 16MK1 Slalom event. Myles also teamed up with Lucas Parkinson for the 16MC2 Slalom event taking home Gold.

Jackson Raward finished the weekend with three Gold medals in the 16MSK1 500m Flatwater, 16MSK1 Wildwater sprint and the 16MSK1 Wildwater Classic. Meanwhile, Ewan Mackie took out Silver in the 16MSK1 Wildwater Sprint.

Combined, our athletes came home with 19 Gold medals, 14 Silver and 6 Bronze!
