As a Penrith Valley Senior Sportstar of the Month winner Chloe is now under consideration to receive the Senior Sportstar of the Year Award. The winner of this award is to be announced at the Penrith Valley Sports Foundation’s annual awards dinner.
Last weekend the Western Sydney Academy of Sport saw over 80 athletes from 5 sport disciplines including AFL U16 girl’s, golf, netball, softball and triathlon compete at the Your Local Club Academy Games.
The Development program was 10 weeks long and provided the local junior players opportunities in areas of technical skill, education and personal development. The matchplay was a chance to show the accumulation of skills developed within the 10-week program.
The Western Sydney Academy of Sport is pleased to announce it is partnering with the Nepean Rowing Club to launch a Female Rowing talent development program, designed to prepare western Sydney’s young talented athletes for selection into State and National squads and eventually Olympic selections.
Some of the states finest young athletes will arrive in the Hunter Region in a weeks’ time for the 2019 Your Local Club Academy Games. Hosted by the Hunter Academy of Sport (HAS), the event will be held across various venues across the region from Friday April 12th to Sunday April 14th, 2019.
The Western Sydney Academy of Sport is excited to announce Western Sydney University as our official Education Partner. The partnership will focus on connecting Academy athletes with opportunities provided by Western Sydney University, as well as creating workplace learning opportunities for students studying at the University.
Charli has been awarded as the March winner for her dedication to the Academy and our Netball squad. She is an extremely hard working and talented young athlete. Her coaches commend her for her efforts as well as her ability to work with her fellow team mates.

Ash attended the NSW State Championships last weekend competing in both the female weight division and open division coming home with Gold for both! Not only is she continually building up her collection of Gold medals but Ash has also been named the 2019 Kumite Junior Sports Star of the Year.
