What an amazing two Days for Academy Golf Athletes who spent Monday and Tuesday at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club experiencing some incredible workshops!
Academy coach Glen Haynes started the tournament with a skills session which included recording the athletes swings and carefully analysing each one with the squad to help with further improvement on the course.
Renee Aravena who works in Stakeholder Engagement and Player Operations for the Rugby League Players Association run an eye-opening seminar on cyber safety and the problems athlete’s may be confronted with through the misuse of social media.
We had a Sports Psychology workshop run by sports psychologist John Crampton followed by a Trackman session out on the driving range with the talented Manager of Player development at JNJG Khan Pullen!
There was no better way to finish the tournament than with Academy graduate and current athlete for the 2018 NSW men’s team, Golf NSW HP squad Josh Gadd. Josh shared his experiences with Academy athlete’s including his time at the Academy and how he’s advanced to become a part of the NSW squad.
