Athlete Education Is A Primary Focus

The education of athletes has been a primary focus for the Academy over the May/June period. An education blitz is being delivered to athletes in various squads on a range of different topics from nutrition to sports psychology to strength and conditioning!

Athletes from the Academy’s golf, cycling, hockey and softball squads have and will continue to gather at Blacktown International Sportspark to gain valuable insight into what it takes to become an elite athlete both in and out of their respective sporting arenas. The Academy engages industry professionals to deliver the sessions to the athletes, with an aim of providing the necessary knowledge and decision making skills needed to become a well-rounded athlete.

Increasingly those who identify talent are looking towards the potential and resilience of the athlete as well as their physical capabilities. By giving Western Sydney athletes the knowledge to make informed decisions in areas that could impact their sporting careers, we aim to develop not only better athletes but better people.

If any athlete needs confirmation on which education sessions they are expected to be at head to the ‘Events’ page or contact the Academy on 4725 6466. Heartland Motors Lone Star athletes can expect advice on relevant education sessions as athletes are selected into the program over the coming weeks.
