Cyclists Take on Wagga
On Saturday 25 June, Academy cyclists made their way to Wagga Wagga, NSW to compete in the Wagga Wagga Junior Tour in some icey cold conditions. The weekend saw the athletes compete in several races, and come out of their events with some impressive results. On Day 1, the athletes competed in the Road Race & Criterium, Day 2 was the Road Race & Time Trial.
In the Women’s U/17 category, Emily Yeaman finished the weekend 4th overall, narrowly missing the podium only two points.
Nathan Craig and Timothy Spackman competed in the Men’s U/17 category and both finished in the Top 20 Best NSW Riders.
The youngest Academy competitor for the weekend, Joshua Brodie, placed 4th overall in the Men’s U/15.
The weekend was a big success for Stephen Cuff, who had two wins in the Road Races, a 3rd in the Criterium and 1st over all events.
Good effort to our Cyclists in Wagga’s winter conditions!
