Digital Realty Netball athlete Isabella Degei has been named the Penrith Valley Sports Foundation Junior Sportsperson of the Month for July!

Isabella started playing netball in the Penrith District at the age of eight. In 2017 she was selected into the U11 development netball squad which went on to be undefeated. She was also named co-captain of the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) Primary School Netball team that competed in the NSW U12’s All Schools Netball Championships in Tamworth. From there she was selected in the NSW Primary School Netball team which competed and were named Champions at the Pacific School Games in Adelaide.

In 2018 Isabella was selected into the Penrith U12’s State Age Netball team that was named undefeated Champions. The following year she was selected in the 2019 Penrith U13’s State Age team and was co-captain. The team went on to be Champions that year as well.

In 2019 she was selected into the CIS U15’s Netball team and successfully competed against other combined schools, taking out the tournament. She was invited to trial for the U15’s NSW team however was unable to trial at the time.

Isabella has also seen success in many other sports including placing third in shot put at the 2016 NSW All Schools Athletics Championships and competing in the CIS Touch Football team since 2016. Congratulations Isabella!
