“Congratulations to our Western Sydney Academy of Sport athletes,” Mayor Byrne said. “To be accepted into the Academy is a feat in itself. It also reflects all the hard work, commitment and training these incredibly talented athletes have committed to over the many years to be the best in their field. I look forward to seeing these athletes grow and develop and I wish them every success in their future sporting careers.”

Academy netballer Sarah Okunbor, addressed the room to thank Council on behalf of all of the athletes for Council’s support and recognition of the athlete’s fantastic achievements.

The Academy would like to thank The Hills Shire Council for hosting our athletes and for the fabulous ongoing support Council provides the Academy.
