Rugby League Team Take Perth By Storm
The Academy’s SG Ball and Harold Matthews Rugby League teams have had a tumultuous season thus far but are proving themselves as worthy competitors out on the pitch!
In round 6 the squads travelled south-west to Campbelltown Stadium to take on the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Harold Matthews (U16’s) squad played a great game of rugby league coming away with a 30 – 22 win against the Magpies. The game was proceeded by the SG Ball (U18’s) who just went down 17 – 18.
Last weekend the SG Ball squad travelled to Perth to take on the West Coast Pirates in what was to be a great success for the Academy side. The players who hail from the Penrith and Parramatta districts came away from the game with a 46 – 10 win over the Pirates.
The last round will see the Academy take on the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at St Mary’s Stadium, 10.30am on Saturday 8 April.
