Over the past few weeks, WSAS cyclists have been competing in the NSW 2021 Track Cycling Championships.

All of our cyclists competed in multiple events during the heavy Championship schedule and it is pleasing to say that all athletes either medaled or achieved top 10 in NSW in their selected events.

For those athletes who didn’t medal, they were close with quite a few 4th and 5th placings. Many personal best’s were also achieved which was pleasing for both athletes and coaches. The Championships consist of Endurance and Sprint events and usually, athletes target one or the other.

Someone forgot to tell that to U/15 rider Liam Goltman who successfully won 6 Gold medals covering both Sprint & Endurance events from seven events he raced in. This outstanding achievement could well have been seven wins except it was found after the 500 meter Time Trial that his front wheel was seized and barely rolling.
