The Western Sydney Academy of Sport’s Golf Program provides high performance training opportunities for talented young athletes in the western Sydney region. In partnership with Jack Newton Junior Golf (JNJG) the program provides opportunities for pre-elite golfers in the areas of technical skill, education and personal development, preparing athletes for the next level of elite sport representation.

The Academy Program follows the golf curriculum set by JNJG which includes specific skill components, testing and reporting procedures. Together with competition opportunities, this assists athletes to further progress in the golf development pathway.

Duration: October – April

Venues:  Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club

The Program comprises of technical development, athlete education, sports science, fitness elements and personal development opportunities for Academy scholarship holders. The Program aims to prepare athletes for progression to higher levels of individual performance and achievement, specifically the JNJG State Junior Talent Development Program.

Athletes will have the opportunity to compete at the Your Local Club Academy Games.

There are no costs associated with submitting a nomination form however an athlete levy of $400 is payable by all athletes who are accepted into the Academy program.

Academy Uniform Clothing

Successful athletes will be provided with uniform clothing. Sizing for items must be included in the nomination.
NB: Please select sizes carefully as we may not be able to order replacements for incorrect orders.
